Mountain according to the season
“Renouncing to the sensation of equilibroum and serenity that I feel when I am alone, breathing the air of my lovable Alps is impossible”. Franco Collé, born in 1978, grew up at the foot of Mount Rosa. The love of the mountains, the real ones, to climb during winter with skis and skins” together with the passion for sports that require a lot of effort, grew and became stronger in Franco when he was barely older than 20 years old. While he was studying civil engineering, he enjoyed playing football, dedicating to ski mountaineering the free time from his lessons as ski teacher. In 2012 he went close to trail running “because the mountains have to be climbed up and down during summer as well, running”; in this way, training after training, intensified after the subscription to the Tor des Géants, made by the sister (and totally unexpected), running in the mountains has become Franco’s favourite summer hobby and has allowed him to accomplish important results such as the victory in this competition two years later, in 2014, with a time of 71h and 49 minutes!
Effort that becomes passion!
What passionates Franco Collé is not the mountain in itself, but the mountain with the fatigue that is experienced while exploring its sides and ridges, in every season and with every possible mean, with ski or shoes.
